Each year the season of Lent gives us an opportunity to really focus on our faith. And while this Lent is different from years past in so many ways - remember we started Lent like all was well with the world last year! - that same opportunity to focus on our faith in an intentional way for these 40 days is still here. The Lent we’re going to be challenged to grow in faith, as individuals and as a parish community. And we believe that God often uses 5 things to grow our faith - daily habits, highs & lows, relevant teaching, other people, and service that stretches us. So each week, we’ll take a look at one of these and challenge ourselves to see how God has worked in our lives in the past, so that we can be more open to what he has in store for us in the future. Join us this Lent and dig deep to allow God to Grow Your Faith so that you can fully rejoice with the Risen King at Easter.

A fews tips for reading the Bible prayerfully.
1. Begin by asking God to be present during this time.
2. Read the passage once to understand what is happening. If there are references you don’t understand, see if there is a helpful footnote.
3. Read the passage a second time and notice - What passage or lines jumped out at you? It might be an answer to a question you’ve been asking, or somehow related to something you are dealing with, or it might just be true and beautiful.
4. Re-read anything that jumped out at you, and ask God what He might want you to do with these those lines today. Sit in silence for a few minutes, waiting on God.
5. Ask God to bless and guide the rest of your day, particularly by keeping those lines in your mind.
