Whether you're in Bowie or beyond this Christmas, we invite you and those you love to join us for Mass this Christmas. We offer opportunities, both in person and online, on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day. We hope that you make celebrating with us a part of your holiday plans this year.
Yes! Our 4 pm Mass on Christmas Eve will be livestreamed at SPX Online and YouTube. It will be rebroadcast at 6:30 pm on Christmas Eve and 10 am on Christmas Day.
spxbowie.online.churchWhen you pull onto our campus, you'll find parking in front of and behind the church. It's a big circle, so you'll always be able to find your way back to the front doors of the church. For security reasons, our back doors are not open at this time. Our Greeters will be ready to welcome you and help you find your way. If you have any questions while you're with us, stop by the Info Desk or ask anyone wearing a nametag or lanyard - we're ready to help!
Dressing up is not required to worship with us at SPX. Some people do wear their “Sunday best” but you’re also likely to see someone in slacks and a casual shirt, or even jeans. We want you to come in what makes YOU feel best. And be sure to stop by the photobooth to capture your look!
Each of our Masses is about an hour. To help the entire assembly fully participate in the Mass, we project the lyrics to the songs and all of the prayed responses onto screens at the front of the sanctuary.
Our Christmas Eve Masses both have a 30 minute prelude before the Mass time when you can enjoy some beautiful music and get into the Christmas spirit!
ChildCare is offered for toddlers - PreK aged kids at our 4 pm Christmas Eve and 10 am Chirstmas Day Masses.
Kids in Kindergarten through grade 5 are invited to go to SLAM, our Children's Liturgy of the World. For SLAM, kids are dismissed from the sanctuary at the beginning of Mass to worship in an environment created just for them. They return during the Preparation of the Gifts. SLAM will be offered at the 4 pm Christmas Eve and 10 am Chirstmas Day Masses.
